How to Wire the Original ESC of the MN Model MN82 RC CAR?

The original ESC (main control board) used in the MN Model MN82 RC CAR is model XL1986RT (E0-19). The front side of the board is white, while the bottom side is blue. During installation and use, be careful not to bend or break the antenna, otherwise the remote control range and signal stability may be affected.

Note: The slot marked with the red box is reserved for the headlight lighting system, and the function remains fully operational (tested with the MN99S headlight light set).

This ESC includes several different wire connectors for the power wire, motor wire, servo wire, light wire, and switch wire. Below is a detailed explanation of each connection:

Power Wire

The power wire uses an SM-3P connector for connecting a 7.4V Li-ion battery. It comes with thicker red and black power wires.

  • Red wire: Battery positive (+)

  • Black wire: Battery negative (-)

When unplugging, hold the connector itself instead of pulling directly on the wires.

Motor Wire

The motor wire connects to the 280 brushed motor and controls the vehicle’s forward and reverse movement.

If the throttle direction is reversed after installation, simply swap the motor positive and negative wires.

Light Wire

The light wire connects to the vehicle’s front LED lights.

After installation, it provides power for the original front lighting system.

Servo Wire

The servo wire connects to the steering servo and is usually a 3-pin plug.

Make sure the plug is inserted in the correct direction, otherwise the servo may not function properly.

Switch Wire

The switch wire connects to the vehicle power switch and controls turning the vehicle on and off.

It is recommended to mount the switch in an easy-to-access location to avoid accidental contact during off-road driving.

Installation Tips

When installing the original ESC on the MN Model MN82 RC CAR, please pay attention to the following:

  • Do not reverse the battery polarity

  • Make sure all connectors are fully plugged in

  • Keep motor wires away from the driveshaft

  • Do not insert the servo plug backwards

  • Do not bend, crush, or damage the antenna

After proper wiring, the vehicle should operate normally with steering, lighting, forward, and reverse functions.
