MN Model MN-300 Unboxing! Let’s Talk About Its Pros and Cons

Today, we’re checking out the MN Model MN300 RC car. As soon as I got it, I couldn’t wait to unbox and test it, so here’s what I think about this model — the good and the not-so-good parts.

1. Appearance: Licensed Body, Looks Amazing

First of all, MN really nailed the look this time. The body is officially licensed by TANK 300 and Topfire, and the proportions are super accurate — it really feels like a mini version of the real thing.
The hood, passenger door, and tailgate can all be opened, so you can put in small accessories or even figures, which makes it a lot more fun to play with.
One small downside though — if you want to add a driver figure, you’ll have to remove its legs… a bit cruel, but it works!

2. Battery Design: Much More Convenient

The battery setup this time is quite clever — it uses a 1200mAh modular battery with a Type-C charging port.
That means you can charge it with a regular phone charger! No more worrying about losing a special charging cable — a small change, but a big improvement.

3. Chassis and Structure: Classic and Reliable

The chassis uses a front and rear solid axle design. It’s not the front-independent setup some might expect, but it’s actually realistic — the real Tank 300 also comes in this version.
Structurally, it’s similar to the “MN82,” except this one doesn’t use leaf springs.
The build quality is solid and reliable — and that’s already been proven by the MN82’s strong sales.
Another neat touch: you can remove just two screws to detach the chassis, which makes upgrades and modifications super easy. No more taking apart a dozen screws just to get inside — love that!

4. How’s the MN Model MN300 RC car’s power performance?

It uses the same 280 motor as the MN82, which is perfectly fine for most casual players.
When climbing, if low gear doesn’t have enough torque, just switch to high gear and power your way up — it still feels fun.
Of course, if you want stronger power and smoother throttle response, you can upgrade to an outrunner motor (How to upgrade to an outrunner motor?), and it’ll completely change the performance.
The stock suspension is a bit stiff, so if you prefer smoother handling, you can try softer springs.

5. Remote Control and Lights: Familiar Setup

The remote control design is the same as before — simple but effective. It includes high/low speed switching, steering trim, and full light control: headlights, hazard lights, turn signals, and reverse lights all work. It’s easy to use and feels familiar for MN fans.

6. Overall Impression

All in all, the MN Model MN300 really shows sincerity in its design. The licensed body looks great and is full of realistic details.
The chassis hasn’t changed much from the previous version, but it’s still strong, reliable, and has good upgrade potential.
If there’s anything to nitpick, it’s that the suspension is a bit stiff and the power isn’t super strong — but for everyday play, photos, and mods, it’s a high-value RC car that’s fun and dependable.

If you like the rugged off-road look of the real Tank 300 and want an RC car that’s both fun to drive and easy to upgrade, the MN Model MN300 is definitely worth a try!
